His Perfect Timing

Someone challenged me to start a new blog topic.

Pregnancy.

For starters, I’m not an expert, but I guess what qualifies me to write about this is the fact that I’m now expecting.

I wondered if I’d ever get here.

I had several complications in my younger adult years with my reproductive system and doctors and nurse practitioners alike couldn’t determine what was wrong. All I knew is that test results were conflicting, and no one ever gave me this sentence but in my mind I wondered if I was struggling with sterility.

Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise Him for the help of His countenance.

— Psalm 42:5, KJV

About 10 years ago, on two separate occasions at church functions in different states, two women prayed over my womb and declared life, wholeness, and healing. All the while they were praying, I was asking myself, How did they know? But I didn’t have to question. That’s just how Holy Spirit operates. He cares and loves us so much that He’ll use whatever means necessary to speak life into us.

Fast forward to this year. After having several negative results, I came to a place where I’d be at peace whether my husband and I ever had children naturally or not. I wasn’t doubting God or that the prayers worked. I just had to rest in knowing that if it were to be, it would be in His perfect timing.

As hubby and I began preparing to relocate, I realized my monthly was late. I took a test, it was positive and took another one, with the same result! I was elated!

We’re now almost 13 weeks in, and I’m absolutely ecstatic while watching my belly grow!

Maybe you’ve experienced something similar.

Fear can grip you and make you think you’ll never experience the beauty of carrying life. I’m no exception to the rule. Many women have traveled this road wondering if they would ever have children naturally. You may be reading this, and your heart is breaking because you don’t get why this is happening to you. I want to encourage you to don’t lose hope! It isn’t too late for you just like it isn’t for me. Do what you must but don’t limit yourself. Trust God, even when doctors reports seem bleak and grim. If parenthood is the plan that God has for your life, He will work it out in His perfect timing. Just rest in Him and desire Him more than any of the gifts that He can give.

Thank you for allowing me to share my journey with you and please continue as I share more.

Congratulations, and thanks for sharing your story. You just gave a lot of women hope because I’m sure some had given up and according to the message within the message God said, "Not So."

Thank you so much Candra! I believe this is part of why I’ve gone through EVERYTHING that I’ve experienced and I’m willing to share it all because people need to be reminded that no matter what, the Lord is FAITHFUL and in His timing He will perform what He has promised. God bless you!
