Called to Endure

Endure:

  • suffer patiently; remain in existence, last (Oxford Dictionary of English app)
  • to continue in the same state, last; to remain firm under suffering or misfortune without yielding; to under especially without giving in; to regard with acceptance or tolerance (Merriam-Webster Dictionary app)

Endurance:

  • the ability to endure an unpleasant or difficult process or situation without giving way; the capacity of something to last or to withstand wear and tear (Oxford Dictionary of English app)
  • the ability to withstand hardship or adversity especially the ability to sustain a prolonged stressful effort or activity; the act or instance of enduring or suffering; permanence, duration (Merriam-Webster Dictionary app)

Recently a woman of God released a prophetic word regarding ENDURANCE/ENDURE. When I saw it, it immediately registered with my heart because that’s something I knew God has been saying to me.

You see, about a little over a decade ago, I received a prophetic word that has NEVER left my heart. A group of young prophets from a prophetic ministry came to my then church. A young lady, around my age, came straight to me and said, “God is calling you to endure. I keep hearing that over you.”

That wasn’t an easy word for me to receive at that time because it didn’t sound like I wanted but when I think of Jesus saying, “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved,” (Matthew 24:13, KJV) that reminded me that He’s placed within me the ability to endure. Not only that, He EXPECTS me to do so because He knows who and Whose I am.

To go deeper, as children of God, our endurance sets us apart. 2019 has been both a glorious and trying year for me. I have been stretched in ways that I know the enemy of my soul would have loved to destroy my witness. Yet, I feel the pleasure of Abba Father, although I have missed it at times. Why? Because He told me I am following His lead.

There are days coming of testing of humility vs. pride, forgiveness vs. offense, love vs. fear & hate that we are going to need the staying power of the Lord so that we pass these tests. Guess what? You are called and sanctioned by the Lord to pass the tests His way. We have to know and be known by the Father and this is not done in our strength but through faith and willing obedience. Walk in and live by the Spirit of God with the authority and power that we have been endowed with by Jesus Christ via Holy Spirit.

Choose TODAY to believe AND receive the Word of the Lord that He’s declared for your life—and walk in it.
