Sunday at my dad’s annual event, “Adam, Where Art Thou?” my parents sang a song that talked about how Father God wraps us in His arms as any loving father would. Mom shared part of her journey where He proved Himself to her as Healer, Confidant, Father, God—that His miraculous power is the same as in the days of old. Another woman testified of God’s goodness in her life, and so did I. We felt the hand of God move among us in a way that we knew our obedience to Him and willingness to use our gifts and talents for His glory would impact our lives for our good.
In the days leading up to and following, we all faced different things that made us realize this truth: God prepares His children in advance for what is coming, and He knows what we need before we need it. Leave my life to chance or coincidence? Nah, I’d rather believe that the One who creates every detail has a glorious plan and purpose.
