Two years ago I published my first book, For Such A Time As This, and I wonder if I gave it the chance that I should have.
I knew I had a story to tell but didn’t have the money to go the traditional publishing route or even hire an editor and proofreader. I know, it’s risky taking that type of step for a memoir—but I did. It seemed as if God was telling me to just get it out there—I obeyed.
Since then, I’ve penned more blog posts and poems, written an unpublished children’s book, and dreamed up other writings. I’ll never forget that first feeling though, taking a leap of faith to share with the world about my life and what Jesus did with it (and is doing with it).
Something I learned was even when walking by faith, we can still prepare, plan, and execute with a spirit of excellence which I hope all future book launches will entail.
What are some things you’ve learned along the way from a business or book launch that will equip you for the next time around? How could it encourage someone else? Comment below!
