“Okay, guys. Bring me up to speed,” Special Ops Gabe said. That’s what his comrades called him, but to YHWH and those he ministered to, Gabriel. Messenger angel. Archangel. Gabriel was as splendid as his name still adorned with His glory.
“Agent Kelly and I have monitored the maiden for the past few years. We have seen her grow from a rambunctious but tenderhearted girl to a gracious and humble young woman. Since we’re seeing you now, sir, is it safe to assume it’s time?” Asked Agent Scott.
Agent Kelly and Agent Scott were first-class angels. Although they aren’t in the same league as Special Ops Gabe, they were definitely cut from the same cloth–they were willfully in service to YHWH.
The Visitation
Mary laughed softly to herself while brushing her long, raven, wavy hair. It seemed like it was just yesterday she wished away her beloved dog, but it wasn’t. Three long years have passed, and she was now betrothed to her beloved Joseph. She paused her brushing and took a moment to thank YHWH, her Abba.
“Thank You, Abba, for Your great love towards Your handmaiden. I couldn’t have asked for a better man than Joseph. Others think he’s radical, but he just wants to serve You completely,” Mary prayed.
Suddenly a brilliant light appeared in her room, and none other than Special Ops Gabe himself appeared to her. Startled, the brush fell from Mary’s hand as she dropped to her knees. The radiance, the splendor, and the magnificence of Gabriel was breathtaking. Yet, she sensed he wasn’t to be worshipped, but he also wasn’t one to fear.
Reverently, Mary bowed her head, but he lifted her up and to her feet.
“Hail, thou that art highly favored, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favor with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb and bring forth a son, and shalt call His name Jesus. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto Him the throne of His father David: and He shall reign over the house of Jacob forever; of His kingdom, there shall be no end,” Gabriel declared.
Because the Words Gabriel said weren’t his own, she could feel them swirl and dance with life around her. Though she didn’t fully grasp what he said, she knew that her life would never be the same.
