We seek and long for the quick fixes and instant gratification, and obtaining those things aren’t necessarily bad. It’s just that life is much more than the stuff we use to pamper us. When we think about the afterlife, present-day luxuries don’t compare. Let’s focus on the intangible matters that are everlasting and spread those good, godly, and wholesome things around more than we do the irrelevant things. When it’s all said and done, what matters won’t be what we amassed but what we’ve given.
