Hey, girl, hey! I hope you’ve been having a glorious day. I have a question: how many miracles did you recognize today?
miracle (noun) a surprising and welcome event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is therefore considered to be the work of a divine agency.

Now, when we look at that textbook definition, we could easily dismiss the daily miracles we encounter. However, the things we usually take for granted are miracles.
The Miracle of Life

If you’re reading this post, guess what? You woke up this morning, and it wasn’t due to your alarm clock. For the next few days, I want you to join me in taking the time to pause and praise the Lord for giving you breath. You see, for us to respond to our alarm clocks, we still have to be in the land of the living. The One who created us also maintains our lot while we’re asleep, and He granted us the favor of a new day.
*Intentionally embrace each new day with praise and thanksgiving that you’re alive to experience it. You can journal about it as well.
The Miracle of Movement

In 2013, the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation reported that a staggering 5.4 million people in the US lived with paralysis. Suppose our loved ones, or we never experienced injuries, etc., that could lead to limited/nonexistent mobility. In that case, we could easily take movement for granted. There are so many different causes of paralysis—including poor lifestyle choices.
*Choose each day to stay physically engaged in some activity. We know to eat and live clean, yet staying in shape and spiritually and mentally fit can help us care for our health. It also is another form of expressing gratitude.
The Miracle of Communication

I was grateful when I woke up in the wee hours this morning to one of my bright-eyed boys and heard his lovely voice. Yes, I would’ve loved for him to stay in his bed last night, but the fact I could communicate with him eased away any flustered feelings.
I woke up with the ability to talk and hear without assistance. However, someone wakes up to a newly found inability to converse with their loved ones and is undergoing extreme tests to see what’s the culprit.
*When you wake up in the morning and discover you can still speak and hear, I dare you to give the Lord a shout of praise even if you woke up and couldn’t do either, praise Him anyway. He’s worthy and faithful no matter what we encounter.
To sum it up, our response to everyday miracles is to praise God for them. Exercise gratitude and do whatever else naturally to support those miracles. Take nothing for granted because things can change. However, maintain your joy and thankfulness always.
Love,
Candace
