When Nothing is Left

As I was looking on Facebook this morning, I saw someone’s comment that said, “After I finish giving to my own, I have nothing left,” which was in response to a post encouraging others to take care of home before pouring into others.

Oh, let me tell you something, dear reader. You may be reading this post today and feel like you have nothing left to give. You feel overworked and overwhelmed. You have been distraught and disturbed. Somewhere along the way, someone told you that you must don a superhero’s cape, but you’ve felt like a fraud every time.

Let me tell you something. You are unique. One of a kind. Exceptional.

Because of Jesus Christ.

If you are His, you are cloaked in righteousness, glory, strength, dignity, honor, love, and peace. He indwells you and fills you to overflow, and you never have to feel depleted again because what you should be giving out of yourself, should be what originates in Him and not in your humanism.

We have an abundant, never-ending supply to give when we are in Jesus Christ. We just have to rest and know this is true.

Read this quote from Charles H. Spurgeon, and be encouraged. Trust Jesus and tap into His resources made available to you.

When you have no helpers, see your helpers in God. When you have many helpers, see God in all your helpers. When you have nothing but God, see all in God. When you have everything, see God in everything. Under all conditions, stay thy heart only on the Lord.

Love,
